Iran President Rejected Deletion Presidential Candidates. Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he would fight the allies exclusion from the list of candidates in the presidential election next month.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he would cast a petition to the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei about the ban imposed on its ally, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei.

Rafsanjani reportedly not going to question the exclusion of his name. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hope the issue will be resolved. A figure that dropped from the list of presidential candidates is former president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani moderate. He was barred from running by the Guardian Council, Iran. But Rafsanjani, said his campaign manager, would not question the exclusion of his name from the list of presidential candidates.

Rafsanjani, who served as president in 1989 and 1997, considered as a candidate that can win the support of pro-reform politicians and political center. Guardian Council approved eight presidential candidates and most of the candidates from the hardline cleric close to the conservative ranks.
